Embark!

“UGH” [standing in front of massive shelf of wine at grocery store/wine shop/Total Wine/Costco]

Is this how you feel? Wanting to buy a good bottle of wine, not spend more than $20 and know that you’re going to like it, but overwhelmed by the sheer volume (and lack of insight) to all these bottles in front of you?

Not too many years ago, this was me.  But I knew I liked wine. A lot. I also knew I didn’t know enough about any of it to feel good spending more than $10 a bottle.  And then I worried I was only buying cheap wine and it would all be mediocre. I wanted good, and for less than $15 or $20. Ok, really for less than $10. Because I. Like. Wine. And I want to drink it every day – with friends, while I cook, while I eat dinner, watching a movie, in the bathtub, reading…

It’s so frustrating to read wine reviews and not be able to find that bottle (or even that brand) in your local stores.  And do you really want to order it online and play that game with UPS where you have to be home to sign for it?

So I’ve spent the last several years trying a lot of wine, hosting a wine club, moving to Napa, and moving back home to Charlotte (hahaha), and joining another wine group. And I think there are others out there who want to go to the store and pick up a bottle and feel confident without spending a fortune.  Now I want to share my love of wine and knowledge with you, engage with you, and help you find those bottles for your next dinner party, wedding reception, holiday, or Tuesday night by yourself! Cheers and happy tasting.
